Problem Space
In universities such as Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, there is a need to optimize information interaction between students, faculty and administration. Problems may include inconvenient access to up-to-date schedules, difficulties in sharing educational materials, and limited access to important information. There may also be a need to create more effective means of communication within the university community.
Role
Product Designer
In my role as a product designer for a university app, my challenge was to develop a design that would improve the overall student experience and provide effective interaction with educational resources. This included creating an intuitive interface that met the needs of different user groups - students, faculty, and administration.
Timeline & Contribution
Over a four-week period, I conducted preliminary research involving student surveys and a review of existing systems. A design prototype was then developed to address usability, accessibility, and functional requirements. This process included extensive interaction with members of the university community to gather feedback and clarify needs.
Over the next two weeks, I actively interacted with the developers to ensure a harmonious implementation of the design. The final prototype was subjected to testing with representatives from all user groups.
Outcome
The result of this four-week effort was an innovative university application that provides students, faculty and administration with convenient tools for collaboration and information sharing. Efficient scheduling, quick access to educational materials, and improved communication tools have enhanced the overall experience of participants in the university community. Feedback from users has been positive, reflected in increased satisfaction and improved organization of the educational process.
